Poacher held with deer skin in Khulna

A poacher has been held with a deer skin from near the Sundarbans forest area in Khulna's Dakope upazila. Imama Hossain, 23, son of Oliar Rahman from Laudoba area under Dakope upazila, was held during a drive in the area by a Coast Guard team early hours Saturday, said a press release signed by Coast Guard West Zone Operation Officer Lt Col M H I Siddique. The press release said the drive was conducted on information that some hunters were passing through the area with some hunted deers. The detained poacher and the deer skin that was recovered from his possession have been handed over to Dangmari Forest Office.
