Dinajpur MP sued for renaming Sheikh Mujibur Rahman College to his own

Manoranjan Shill Gopal, the Awami League MP from Dinajpur-1 constituency, has been sued for allegedly renaming a college to his own name which was previously named after Bangladesh's founding father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Gopal allegedly changed the name of 'Sheikh Mujibur Rahman College' of Palashbari Union of Birganj municipality to 'MS Gopal Model College'. Azibul Islam, a member of Birganj Upazila Awami Jubo League, filed the case against MP Gopal at the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Lutfar Rahman on Wednesday. He claimed to have filed the case with four witnesses to protect the image of the father of the nation.
