Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Motiur Rahman Nizami’s appeal order has been enlisted in Tuesday’s cause list of the Appellate Division of the SC for order.
A four-member bench of the Appellate Division led by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha is set to deliver it, according to the SC website.
Three other judges of the bench are Justice Nazmun Ara Sultana, Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, and Justice Hasan Foez Siddique.
On October 29, 2014, Nizami was sentenced to death for committing crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War.
On November 23, 2014, the defence lawyers of the war criminal appealed in the apex court challenging the verdict.
