National Cricket Team pace bowler Rubel Hossain has filed a bail plea with a Dhaka court in a rape case filed by actress and model Naznin Akter Happy.
Rubel’s lawyer Moniruzzman Asad filed the bail plea with Dhaka Metropolitan acting session’s Judge Imrul Kayes’s court on Sunday morning.
The order would be given later in the day, said Asad.
Earlier, the court sent Rubel Hossain to jail after he had surrendered before the court and pleaded for bail on Thursday.
On December 13, actress Happy filed the case with the Mirpur police station under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act.
Later on December 15, the High Court granted a four-week anticipatory bail to Rubel after he filed a bail plea to the court.
