The formal charge sheet has been submitted against Forkan Mallik for committing crimes against humanity in Patuakhali during the 1971 Liberation War.
Prosecutor Mokhlesur Rahman Badal submitted the charge sheet to the International Crimes Tribunal on Monday morning.
The court fixed November 30 for cognisance hearing.
Eight charges have been pressed against Forkan including murder, rape and genocide.
Earlier, ICT 2 ordered the Inspector General of Prison (IG Prison) to produce war crime accused Forkan Mallik before it by July 3.
On June 25, police arrested Forkan from Rupatali bus stand area of Barisal.
One Abdul Hamid of Shoulabunia of Mirzaganj upazila of Patuakhali lodged a case against Forkan with Mirzaganj police station on July 21, 2009.
In that case, the complainant alleged that Abdul Qader Jamaddar, Subidkhali, local Awami League leader, Habib alias Yazuddin Khalifa, AL activist of Kakrabunia, Dr Debendranath and his wife, minority people of Subidkhali, were held and killed by Pakistani occupation army in cooperation with Rajakar commander Forkan.
After primary investigation, the case was sent to Patuakhali district and session judge court. The court, accepting the case, issued arrest warrant against Forkan last year.
