Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has set Wednesday to start argument in the wartime appeal petition lodged by death row convict Jamaat leader Mohammad Kamaruzzaman.
A four-member Appellate Division bench led by Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha has passed the order on Tuesday.
The defence side has completed reading out the 215-page verdict of the International Crimes Tribunal against Jamaat Assistant Secretary General Kamaruzzaman on the day.
Earlier, the Supreme Court fixed May 18 for starting hearing an appeal filed by Jamaat-e-Islami leader Muhammad Kamaruzzaman challenging the death penalty awarded to him for his wartime crimes against humanity.
