Additional Attorney General M Khalilur Rahman has been relieved of his post.
The Law and Justice Division of the Law Ministry issued a notification in this regard yesterday afternoon.
The notification signed by acting secretary Syed Aminul Islam stated that the government had relived MK Rahman from his post by cancelling his appointment. However, it did not mention any reason behind the move.
He was appointed to the post in March, 2009.
MK Rahman is also the coordinator of the International Crimes Tribunal’s prosecution team. The notification, however, did not state whether he would be performing his duty at the tribunal.
