Update : 27 Feb 2014, 07:07 AM

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) grilled former state minister for housing and public works Abdul Mannan Khan, Rajdhani Unnayan Kartipakkha (RAJUK) Chairman Nurul Huda and Satkhira Jatiya Party leader Abdul Jabbar over various allegations brought against them.

M Nasir Uddin, a deputy director of ACC, quizzed Abdul Mannan Khan over an allegation brought against him for earning illegal wealth. The interrogation took place at the ACC headquarters in the capital on Thursday.

ACC Deputy Director Jatan Kumar Roy grilled RAJUK Chairman Nurul Huda on alleged irregularities in allotment of plots in different projects, while ACC Assistant Director Masudur Rahman questioned JaPa leader from Satkhira Abdul Jabbar over an allegation brought against him for amassing illegal wealth.

After the quizzing, Mannan said: “I have replied to the queries of ACC and they have become satisfied to my answers. As it is a matter of investigation, I am reluctant to make any comment over the matter.”

“I was asked to provide information about a VIP and I have done so,” RAJUK Chairman Nurul Huda said after coming out from ACC office. He added: “I have done my duties with sincerity and honesty. I have made open challenge about my allegations.”

However, Jabbar has said nothing about his quizzing to the journalists.
