KSA to recruit 3000 BD workers this year

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has informed Bangladesh that it will recruit 3,000 workers from the latter country in various professions this year. Chief Executive Officer Fahad Al Sulaim of Eastern Recruitment, a manpower buyer of Saudi Arabia, told Bangladeshi Ambassador in Riyadh Golam Moshi of the development at a meeting in Riyadh on Wednesday, said a press release as quoted by UNB. Counsellor (labour) at the Bangladesh Embassy M Sarwar Alam, First Secretary (labour) M Asaduzzaman, Second Secretary (press) M Fakhrul Islam and Sonali Bank Deputy-General Manager M Abdul Wahab were present at the meeting, among others. The Bangladesh Ambassador also held another meeting with senior officials of different companies at a hotel in Dammam on the day, where he urged them to recruit more skilled manpower from Bangladesh. Highlighting the honesty, dedication and skill of Bangladeshi workers to prospective employers, Golam Moshi recommended that the companies recruit doctors, engineers and other skilled workers in addition to general labour. Top officials of various Saudi companies, including Nesma, Al Yamama and Nasser S Al Hajri were present at the meeting, Putting an emphasis on training the workers, the Bangladesh envoy said that proper information on the work environment, job responsibilities and other facilities prior to recruitment would increase their capabilities. He also assured the representatives that the Bangladesh government would provide necessary support to the workers for their training.
