Chief Justice M Muzammel Hossain yesterday urged everyone to work together to establish the rule of law and ensure justice throughout all spheres in Bangladesh.
He made the remarks while speaking at the launch of a website for “Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh,” (HRPB) at the Shafiur Rahman Auditorium of the Supreme Court Bar Association in Bhaban. The programme was chaired by HRPB President Manzill Murshed.
The chief justice also said public interest litigations were immensely important in upholding the rule of law and human rights.
He lauded the HRPB for standing by the people, and hoped that the organisation would continue with its role in the future. Later on, he inaugurated www.hrpb.org.bd, the HRPB’s website.
