Malaysia-bound workers who registered through Union Information Centres will go abroad within two years, Employment Minister Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain said.
"About 2,300 registered workers went to Malaysia in the last one and half years," he said at the regular parliament session on Tuesday evening.
In this regard, he said, registered workers were going to Malaysia with government visas at a lesser cost of Tk27,000.
Regarding the missing passports in Malaysia, the minister said the foreign ministry has formed a committee to investigate and recover the passports.
