A mobile court yesterday sentenced a youth in Kaliganj on charge of harassing a girl.
Ramjan Ali, 23, an HSC student of Jamalpur College and son of Saidul Islam of Fuinpur village under Sreenagar upazila of Munshiganj, tried to sexually abuse a girl of Jamalpur village, said Kaliganj police station SI Mujibur Rahman. She is an SSC examinee.
Locals and members of her family caught Ramjan red-handed when she shouted. Later, the incident was informed to Kaliganj upazila UNO Kamrul Ahsan Talukder.
The mobile court of Kaliganj upazila Assistant Commissioner (land) Bhashkar Debnath Bappi gave the verdict around 10pm yesterday by the order of UNO.
