Former leaders of different political parties’ student wings yesterday urged the government to send Ghulam Azam to jail from hospital and ensure justice as soon as possible, said a press statement yesterday.
The leaders also called upon the government to ban the politics of the Jamaat-e-Islami and carry out a special operation against Jamaat men.
The leaders also paid homage to late Jahanara Imam by placing wreaths at her grave at Mirpur Intellectual Graveyard yesterday morning.
The press statement also said people had to prevent the mayhem and killings by the Jamaat-e-Islami, urging all to continue movement until all the war criminals were punished.
Among others, Bangladesh Chhatra Union’s former president Ruhin Hossain Prince, Bangladesh Chhatra Maitry former president Ragib Ahsan Munna, Samajtantrik Chhatra Front former general secretary Bajlur Rashid Firoj attended the gathering.
