A Dhaka Court on Wenesday deferred the witness deposition in the Amin Bazar student murder case to November 27.
The first witness deposition was recorded partly on Wenesday, as the prosecution did not produce all the evidence of the case before the court.
Dhaka Additional District and Session Judge Khondoker Hasan Mohammad Firoz recorded the deposition and set the next date.
The complainant of the case Sub-Inspector Md Anowar Hossain was present before the court as the first witness.
In his deposition, Anowar said Bardeshi villagers caught some people on July 18, 2011, suspecting them to be robbers. He went to the Rupali Shoikat Housing Society and found six dead bodies and one critically injured person on the spot. He later informed the Savar police station and sent the injured victim to a Savar hospital for treatment, he said.
Forty nine of the accused were present at on Wenesday’s hearing, while 11 others who had been charged remained fugitives.
On July 18, 2011, a mob beat six college and school students to death at Bardeshi village in Amin Bazar.
