The defence lawyer on Tuesday filed an appeal against the death penalty awarded to BNP Standing Committee member Salauddin Quader Chowdhury for committing crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War.
Advocate Zainul Abedin, on behalf of Salauddin Quader, filed the appeal at the Supreme Court in the afternoon.
