Death-row convict war criminal Salauddin Quader Chowdhury was taken back to Kashimpur 1 Jail in Gazipur on Tuesday night from the Dhaka Central Jail.
"He was sent from the Dhaka jail on a prison van around 7:30pm,” said Forman Ali, senior superintendent of Dhaka Central Jail. Meanwhile, Jahangir Kabir, superintendent of Kashimpur 1 Jail, said they had received the convict at about 9pm.
He will be taken to a division cell and later moved to the condemned cell after receiving a copy of the verdict.
Salauddin Quader, a BNP lawmaker, was taken to Dhaka on Monday night in order to be produced before the International Crimes Tribunal.
