The High Court Sunday acquitted one death-row convict as well as two lifer in the case of killing Ibrahim Kamal, a government official, in the capital’s Eskaton in 2004.
In addition, the court sentenced another death row convict to life term in prison.
The bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Shahidul Karim delivered the verdict after hearing the appeal of the accused and references of the death sentence confirmation of the lower court.
