Constitution specialist Dr Kamal Hossain urged the young lawyers to provide legal aid to right-deprived people in order to “establish and uphold” the rule of law in the country.
He said: “The lawyers can play a significant role in the society by providing legal aid to poor and right-deprived people.”
As per the constitution, all citizens of the country were equal before law and entitled to equal protection of law. But a large number of poor were not getting proper legal assistance, he added.

The programme was jointly organised by CU Law Faculty and Chittagong Law Clinic, Bangladesh Legal Aid & Services Trust.
