A Bogra court on Monday fixed Tuesday for the remand hearing of Dulal Mia, owner of a house where militant training had been taking place.
Meanwhile, the court placed Rezaul Islam, another house owner, on a five-day remand.
Earlier in the day, the investigation officer of the case produced Dulal Mia before the court with a 15-day remand plea. But, the court did not entertain his plea as the investigation officer was not present during the hearing.
Detective Branch of police arrested Dulal Mia from Joypurhat early Monday.
Police said Dulal Mia had fled away after three members of BEM – a newly-formed militant organisation –been arrested from the den on Thursday.
Dulal Mia claimed he is a Jubo League activist and hails from a freedom fighter’s family.
Dulal said Rafiqul Islam (one of the detained militants) had come to him a month ago and had given an advance payment as rent for the house.
Rafiqul introduced himself as a student of Government Azizul Haque College, Bogra and said some other students would come to reside in the house.
On Thursday, police arrested the three militants, having received information from Rafiqul following his detention.
Police also recovered a SMG, a LMG, a foreign-made pistol, a high-powered filed glass, and a huge amount of bullets and magazines from their possession.
