3 held with 27,550 Yaba tablets in Cox’s Bazar

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested three alleged drug traders along with 27,550 pieces of Yaba tablets at Ukhia bus stand in Cox’s Bazar on Friday night, reports UNB.

The arrested were identified as Mohibullah, 25, son of Mohammad Hossain from Pashchim Para Leda, Saleh Ahmed, 38, son of Waz Uddin of Rangikhali Leda, and M Burhan Uddin, 28, son of Nurul Islam.

All of them hail from Teknaf upazila.

Major Sarwar-e-Alam, commanding officer of Rab 7, said a Rab team, acting on a tip-off, intercepted a power tiller heading towards the town on the Teknaf-Cox’s Bazar Highway near Ukhia bus stand around 11:30pm and arrested them.

The law enforcers also seized the power tiller.

A case was filed in this connection.
