BNP: Police raided houses of Dhaka south leaders

Convening committees of Dhaka north and south units were approved on August 2

The BNP has claimed that law enforcers raided the houses of three senior leaders of its Dhaka south unit. 

In a statement issued on Friday, Convener of the unit Abdus Salam and Member Secretary Rafiqul Alam Mojnu made the allegation, reports Bangla Tribune.

The statement says that police raided and attacked the houses of BNP Joint Secretary General and former president of Dhaka south unit Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel, and joint conveners of the new committee Mosharraf Hossain Khokan and ANM Saiful Islam.

On Friday afternoon, Member Secretary Rafiqul Alam Mojnu held a meeting with the leaders of the unit at Bhasani Bhaban.

On Monday, BNP approved the 49-member convening committee for the Dhaka south city unit and a 47-member committee for the north unit led by ex-Ducsu VP and BNP chairperson’s adviser Amanullah Aman.
