A Gazipur court has sentenced a person to death for killing his colleague at a spinning mill in the district.
Gazipur District and Session Judge AKM Enamul Haque pronounced the verdict on Sunday afternoon.
Abdul Halim, 26, son of Masud Mondol of Bogra, is convicted of killing Masud Mia, 16.
Gazipur Judge Court's Public Prosecutor Advocate Haris Uddin Ahmed said police recovered the slaughtered body of Masud Mia from Hanif Spinning Mill on March 16, 2011.
Victim's father Shah Alam filed a case with Kaliakoir police station in connection with the murder.
Investigation Officer of the case SI Saiful Alam said Masud's colleague Abdul Halim was detained for his alleged involvement with the murder.
During interrogation, Abdul Halim confessed that he killed Masud.
Later, police submitted charge sheet accusing Halim in the murder case.
