A Sylhet court has rejected the bail petition filed by photojournalist Idris Ali in the blogger Ananta Bijoy Das murder case.
Farhana Yasmin, judge of Sylhet Metropolitan Magistrate Court 2, passed the order on Wednesday afternoon.
On Monday, the same court had sent Idris to jail after a seven-day remand.
On June 7, Idris was detained in the Ananta Bijoy Das murder case.
On May 12 in the morning, Mukta Mona blogger and also a Gonojagoron Moncho organiser Ananta was hacked to death in Sylhet's Subidbazar area.
A murder case was filed after the killing but police could not manage to arrest anyone.
On May 25, the investigation was handed over to the CID's organised crime unit.
