Eight more people died of dengue, and 1,782 new patients were hospitalized across the country in the 24 hours until 8am on Thursday.
With the latest fatalities, the dengue death toll has risen to 209 in the country this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Among the deaths, three died in Dhaka South City Corporation and Khulna division, while one each died in Dhaka North City Corporation and Mymensingh division.
Since January 1 this year, a total of 69,149 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country. Of them, 63,874 have recovered.
