Three more children have died from measles-like symptoms in the 24 hours leading up to 8:00am on Sunday, raising the overall death toll from the ongoing outbreak to 994.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has classified all three of the latest casualties as suspected.
With the latest figures, the total number of suspected measles deaths has reached 894, while the number of confirmed deaths remained unchanged at 100, as no new confirmed measles deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
The three new suspected fatalities were reported across three divisions—Chittagong, Khulna, and Sylhet—with one death each.
A total of 1,043 suspected measles cases were recorded in the 24 hours till Sunday morning, taking the overall suspected case tally to 164,148.
During the same period, 55 new confirmed measles cases were reported, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 19,696.
Since March 15, 2026, a total of 144,168 suspected measles patients have been hospitalized across the country, of whom 138,772 have recovered and been discharged from hospitals, according to the DGHS.
