Dr Zubaida Rahman, wife of the prime minister and vice-chairman of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation, inaugurated a free cataract surgery camp for cataract patients.
She also distributed medicines and spectacles free of charge to the patients.
The program was inaugurated at the field of Bhashantek Government Secondary School in the capital on Saturday. BNP Standing Committee Member Dr Farhad Halim Donar, along with local BNP and affiliated organization leaders and activists, was also present.
The medical camp was organized by the Ziaur Rahman Foundation with financial support from a private hospital in Rayerbazar, Mohammadpur.
The organizers said more than 300 patients received free medical treatment and medicines at the camp.
