Three more children have died from measles-like symptoms in the 24 hours leading up to 8:00am on Monday, raising the overall death toll from the ongoing outbreak to 847.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has classified all three of the latest casualties as suspected.
With the latest figures, the total number of suspected measles deaths has reached 751, while the number of confirmed deaths remained unchanged at 96, as no new confirmed measles deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.
Among the latest fatalities, the Sylhet division recorded the highest number of deaths, with two casualties reported in the Sunamganj district.
A total of 967 suspected measles cases were recorded in the 24 hours till Monday morning, taking the overall suspected case tally to 131,050.
During the same period, 113 new confirmed measles cases were reported, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 16,408.
Since March 15, 2026, a total of 113,528 suspected measles patients have been hospitalized across the country, of whom 109,189 have recovered and been discharged from hospitals, according to the DGHS.
