Health officials on Saturday said they recorded 35 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts in the past 24 hours.
“We recorded 35 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts in 24 hours ending at 8am today (Saturday),” a spokesman of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.
“Out of the 35 fresh cases, 15 were hospitalized in Barishal division, 10 in Chittagong division, two in Dhaka division and eight in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC),” a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said.
Since the start of the dengue onslaughts Bangladesh this year claimed six lives and inflicted 4,066 people.
The dengue last year claimed 413 lives and inflicted 1,02,861 people in the country.
Besides, the dengue claimed 575 lives and inflicted 1,01,214 people in 2024.
