Doctors affiliated with the National Citizen Party (NCP)-backed organisation National Health Alliance (NHA) have launched helplines at several hospitals across Dhaka to facilitate treatment and emergency support for children affected by measles.
The initiative was introduced to ensure rapid medical assistance for patients and their families, according to a press release issued on Wednesday.
The statement, signed by NHA Office Secretary Dr Md Abdus Salam, said the helpline service was launched under the initiative of NHA Convener Prof Dr Shadrul Alam and Member Secretary Dr Md Abdul Ahad.
Under the initiative, dedicated physicians will provide assistance at several major hospitals in the capital.

At Dhaka Medical College Hospital, patients can contact Dr Md Zulfikar at +8801710498909 and Dr Mashuk at +8801835512250.
At Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital, support will be available through Dr Saiyed at +8801706520987 and Dr Sani at +8801887959650.
At Mugda Medical College Hospital, treatment assistance will be provided by Dr Abdullah Al Mamun at +8801608073642 and Dr Mazharul Islam at +8801540075248.
For Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital, Dhaka Shishu Hospital and nearby hospitals, families have been advised to contact Dr Tanni Sheikh at +8801999398779, Dr Al Amin at +8801718662463, Dr Habib at +8801533794744 and Dr Tawfiq Iman at +8801310938573.
At Dhaka DNCC Hospital, services will be available through Dr Md Moniruzzaman at +8801770591529 and Dr Usama at +8801826711924.
In Mirpur-2, treatment support at Dr MR Khan Shishu Hospital will be coordinated by Dr Ashikur Rahman Shuvo at +8801676565118.
The organisation said the primary objective of the helpline service is to ensure prompt treatment for measles patients and reduce the anxiety of affected families.
