At least three children have died from measles and related symptoms till 8am Wednesday.
Of them, two deaths were reported in Dhaka division, according to the Directorate General of Health Services’ (DGHS) latest bulletin.
According to the bulletin, 1,032 suspected measles cases were reported during the 24-hour period, with the highest number—505—recorded in Dhaka. During the same period 76 confirmed measles cases were identified, including 61 in Dhaka.
Meanwhile, 666 patients with suspected measles were admitted to hospitals, while 468 patients were discharged.
DGHS data showed that a total of 198 people have died from suspected and confirmed measles since March 15.
