Health officials on Friday said they recorded 190 fresh cases of dengue outbreaks in the past 24 hours in the country.
"During the period, (of the 190) 40 patients were hospitalized in the Barisal division", a Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said.
It said among the rest, 50 were hospitalized in Chittagong division, 27 in Dhaka division, excluding the capital, 42 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and 21 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas, seven in Khulna and three were hospitalized in Mymensingh division.
Since the start of the dengue onslaughts, Bangladesh this year has witnessed so far 95 deaths while the disease has inflicted 23,410.
The DGHS, however, said 199 patients were discharged from different hospitals across the country after their recovery.
The dengue last year claimed 575 lives and afflicted 1,01,214 people in the country.
