Bangladesh reported 406 new dengue cases and one death in the past 24 hours, pushing the official death toll to 52 for the year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to the latest numbers, the total number of dengue cases since January has increased to 13,594.
In the last 24-hour period, 439 patients were discharged, raising the total number of recoveries to 12,225 this year. As of Wednesday, 1,317 patients remain hospitalised across the country.
Last year, dengue claimed 575 lives in the country.
