Three dengue patients died and 492 were hospitalized across the country in 24 hours to Monday morning.
“During the period, 154 patients were hospitalized in Barisal division, 51 in Chittagong, 69 in Dhaka division, 36 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 53 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 54 in Khulna, 10 in Mymensingh, one in Sylhet, three in Rangpur, and 61 were admitted to different hospitals in Rajshahi division,” said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of cases rose to 12,763.
Forty-eight deaths from dengue, the mosquito-borne disease, have been reported this year.
During the last 24 hours, 411 patients were discharged from different hospitals across the country.
Last year, the number of cases reached 101,214, with 575 deaths from dengue, the statement added.
