One dengue patient died and 383 were hospitalized across the country in 24 hours to Sunday morning.
"During the period, 136 patients were hospitalized in Barisal division while 55 were hospitalized in Chittagong, 48 in Dhaka division, 32 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 28 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 41 in Khulna, 10 in Mymensingh and 33 were admitted to different hospitals in Rajshahi division," said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of cases rose to 9,867, while 42 deaths from dengue, the mosquito-borne disease, have been reported this year.
During the last 24 hours, 349 patients were discharged from different hospitals across the country.
Last year, the total number of cases rose to 101,214, while 575 deaths from the dengue disease were reported, the statement added.
