One dengue patient has died and 561 new cases have been reported across the country in the last 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new cases, 292 patients were hospitalized in Dhaka city, while 269 were admitted to hospitals in other parts of the country.
The total number of dengue cases reported in 2024 has now reached 17,845, with 103 deaths attributed to the disease so far.
In comparison, 2023 saw 1,705 dengue-related deaths and a total of 321,179 cases.
The DGHS continues to monitor the situation closely as the country deals with the ongoing outbreak.
