The Health Services Division has sealed the operation theaters of three private hospitals in Jamalpur city for not having licenses.
Sadar Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Uttam Kumar Sarkar led the raids at three hospitals named New Amena Hospital located in Miapara, Asian General Hospital in Panch Rasta intersection and Shafiq Hospital and Diagnostic Centre located at Zia College intersection on Thursday.
According to the upazila health division, operations, and health services were being carried out in these hospitals for a long time, and they did not have licenses.
Dr Uttam Kumar Sarkar said these hospitals cannot use operation theaters until they obtain a valid license.
The hospitals’ authorities did not make any remarks in this regard.
