Amid a downward surge in both Covid-19 cases and deaths across the country, the Covid-19 unit of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) logged three more deaths in the 24 hours to Wednesday morning.
Among them, one, from Rajshahi, had tested positive for Covid-19, while another from Rajshahi and one from Naogaon were showing symptoms consistent with the disease.
Earlier, in the 24 hours from Monday morning to Tuesday morning, four people died while undergoing treatment, taking the total to seven deaths in two days, according to RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani.
No new patient had been admitted to the Covid-19 unit in the last 24 hours, said the hospital director.
The samples of 44 people from Rajshahi were tested at RMCH RT-PCR lab on Tuesday, all of which turned out to be negative for Covid-19.
