The daily Covid-19 test positivity rate has crossed 38% in Chittagong.
The district recorded 1,026 cases at an infection rate of 38.64% in the 24 hours to Sunday morning, according to Chittagong civil surgeon’s office.
Chittagong had a 29% positivity rate the previous day – one percentage point higher than the national average.
The rate had surpassed the 30% mark on January 19 and could cross 40% soon if daily coronavirus cases keep piling up.
Meanwhile, the civil surgeon’s office recorded zero deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
