Professor Dr ABM Abdullah, the personal physician of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has been diagnosed with Covid-19.
A retired professor of medicine at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Abdullah is currently being treated at a hospital in the capital, reported several media outlets late on Tuesday night.
Abdullah himself confirmed the development to the news outlets after the results of his test samples came back positive.

Abdullah went on to say that he was just feeling weak with no major physical issues. He had been previously suffering from cold-related complications and mild fever.
The Ekushey Padak winner was appointed as the premier’s personal physician in December 2019.
