Bangladesh has recorded 19 more deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the number of total fatalities to 5,905.
The country also logged more than 406,000 coronavirus cases with 1,604 people testing positive over the same period.
With this development, the number of all confirmed cases so far jumped to 406,364.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the latest figures on Covid-19 in the country with a press release on Friday.
The health authorities said 1,422 people recovered from the disease over the preceding 24 hours. So far, 322,703 patients (79.41%) have made full recovery across the country.
Of the 19 deceased, including seven women, 13 were from Dhaka division and two each from Chittagong and Khulna and one each from Barisal and Rajshahi.
Eighteen of the victims died at different hospitals in the country while one died at home.
So far, 4,541 men (76.95%) and 1,364 women (23.05%) have died from Covid-19 across the country.

The mortality rate against the total number of cases detected so far stands at 1.45%.
As many as 14,141 samples, including the pending ones, were tested in the 112 authorized labs — both government and private — across the country.
The latest figures show an infection rate of 11.34%.
To date, 2,324,730 tests have been conducted in the country, leading to an overall infection rate of 17.48% so far.
On March 8, health authorities in Bangladesh reported the first three cases of Covid-19, a severe acute respiratory illness caused by a new coronavirus strain which was later named Sars-CoV-2.
The novel coronavirus broke out in China's Wuhan city in late December last year and quickly spread throughout the world, becoming a pandemic in less than three months.
The fast spreading coronavirus has claimed 1,187,526 lives and infected 45,422,566 people across the world till 4pm Friday, according to Worldometer.
As many as 33,033,563 people have recovered from Covid-19 which has spread to 215 countries and territories across the planet.
