Another policeman has died from Covid-19 infection.
Md Towhidul Islam, a traffic constable for the Dhaka North division airport zone passed away at Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital, while undergoing treatment.
A press note published by Police Headquarters confirmed the matter on Friday.
Towhidul was receiving treatment at the hospital after he tested positive for Covid-19.
He is survived by his wife and son.
Towhidul’s body was taken to his village home in Mithapukur of Rangpur district.
The policeman will be buried in his family graveyard after his Janaza to be attended by senior district police officials.
37 policemen across Bangladesh have lost their lives to Covid-19, to date.
