As many as 4,253 Armed Forces members, both in service and retired, as well as their family members, have tested positive for Covid-19 so far.
Inter Service Public Relation Directorate (ISPR) disclosed the information in a press release on Saturday.
The statement also said 713 Armed Forces personnel contracted coronavirus, and eight died of Covid-19 within the last week. All of the deceased were retired members of the organization.
The Armed Forces of Bangladesh have been working tirelessly to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
In Bangladesh, 108,775 people have tested positive for Covid-19, and the disease has caused 1,425 deaths so far.
Globally, the fast spreading coronavirus has claimed more than 463,000 lives and infected over 8,787,000, according to Worldometer.
