A National Bank official has died from Covid-19.
Mohammad Bashar, a senior assistant vice president (SAVP) of the bank, died at the Holy Family Hospital on Monday.
He was working at the bank’s Dilkusha branch.
National Bank public relations department (PRD) officials confirmed the matter.
“Now, the Dilkusha branch is under partial lockdown; the branch may be completely put into lockdown depending on the situation,” an official of the PRD said.
Directors of some commercial banks have also been infected with Covid-19.
A total of eight bankers have died from Covid-19 including the national bank official.
Apart from this, a total of 60 bank officials have been infected with Covid-19 till now.
