Senior Awami League leader Mohammed Nasim has been hospitalized after his Covid-19 test came back positive.
He has been admitted to the Bangladesh Specialised Hospital in capital’s Shyamoli on Monday afternoon, his son Tanvir Shakil told the media.
“My father has been tested positive and now being treated at the hospital. Please pray for him,” he said.
A former health minister, Nasim is a member of the ruling party’s policymaking Presidium.
Awami League Office Secretary Biplab Barua said that he would be moved to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka on Tuesday.
