Another policeman has died of the Covid-19 infection, raising the death toll of Bangladeshi policemen due to the pandemic to 15.
The deceased was Md Rasel Bishwas, 35. He worked as Sub-Inspector of Special Branch (SB) Police.
A press note was published in this regard by the Police Headquarters on Thursday.
He tested positive for coronavirus on May 24 and was undergoing treatment at Impulse Hospital in the capital.
He is survived by his wife and a son.
His body has already been sent to his village home in Bagerhat. Rasel will be buried at the family graveyard there.
