At least 162 more policemen have tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in Bangladesh.
A total of 1,756 policemen have been infected with the coronavirus so far, said sources at the police headquarter.
Of them, 65 belong to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), taking the total from there to 810 -- almost half of the total infected.
Around 1,933 new cops were sent to quarantine in the same period of time, taking the total to 4,803.
On the contrary, only 18 have recovered from the disease in this time period while 165 have recovered in total.
To date, seven policemen have died of the deadly virus.
