A woman in Feni has been tested positive for coronavirus without showing any symptoms of the deadly infection.
Feni’s Dagonbhuiyan Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Rubaiyat Bin Karim confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune on Wednesday night.
Dr Rubaiyat also said the woman, who used to work as a house help in Dhaka, came to the upazila’s Alampur village a few days ago. Although she showed no symptoms of coronavirus infection, her samples were sent to Chittagong’s BITID for testing.
Later, she was tested positive for Covid-19 infection.
Meanwhile, Feni Civil Surgeon Dr Sazzad Hossain said efforts were now being made to bring the woman to the isolation ward of Feni Trauma Centre.
This is the third case of coronavirus in Feni.
