Coronavirus: Workers to get telemedicine support

The service can be availed from 10am to 2pm every day

The workers of local and exported oriented factories in the country will be provided with telemedicine services amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The Department of Inspection of Factories and Establishments (DIFE) issued an order in this regard through a circular on Monday.

The circular signed by DIFE Inspector General Shib Nath Roy mentioned workers and their family members can avail the telemedicine service from a list of doctors of the DIFE, from 10am to 2pm every day.

The doctors will give the information collected from the telemedicine service, to the Deputy Inspector General (health) Dr Mostafizur Rahman.

The DIG health will then send the information to the higher authorities by 5pm every day. 

As of Monday,  Covid-19 claimed 101 lives in Bangladesh and affected 2,948 people while 85 fully recovered from it.

The pandemic has infected 2,483,190 people globally with 170,501 deaths in 213 countries and territories, including Bangladesh.
