Dhaka University (DU) authorities have decided to extend its office closure till April 25 to curb the spread of coronavirus in the country.
A press release signed by DU Director of Public Relations Mahmood Alam stated this on Monday, adding that emergency activities will be excluded from these holidays.
Offices will remain open from 9am to 3pm during the month of Ramadan.
The office closure first started from March 18 and was scheduled to end on March 28.
Later it was extended till March 31, April 11, April 14, and now April 25 respectively, making it the fourth extension.
Dhaka University had previously suspended all academic activities from March 18 to March 31. This suspension was first extended till April 9, with weekly holidays April 10 and April 11.
On April 9, the university authorities decided to suspend all classes and exams indefinitely.
