Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (Ducsu) says it is all set to provide the university students with any kind of assistance in light of the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
The elected student body made the announcement through a press note on Thursday.
Ducsu will take an initiative to raise a student helping fund for the needy students, according to the press note.
If any student of Dhaka University (DU) faces financial crisis or needs financial support for own medical treatment of or that of any family member, Ducsu urged such students to notify any of its 25 elected representatives.
Ducsu also requested the general students to extend their helping hands in their respective communities during this period of crisis.
Earlier today, DU authorities extended the suspension of classes and examinations at the university until further notice.
On March 19, DU students were asked to leave their dormitory in an effort to maintain social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic.
